Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

  • "Company", "We", "Us", or "Our" refers to Pleasant Cleaning Services.

  • "Client", "You", or "Your" refers to the person, business, or organisation requesting or receiving services.

  • "Services" refers to commercial cleaning tasks provided by Pleasant Cleaning Services as outlined in service agreements or work orders.

2. Scope of Services

  • Services will be carried out as agreed in writing between the Company and the Client.

  • Services may include but are not limited to: vacuuming, mopping, dusting, disinfecting surfaces, waste removal, window cleaning, and restroom sanitation.

  • Any request for services outside the agreed scope must be approved in writing and may incur additional charges.

3. Access to Premises

  • The Client must provide reasonable access to premises, including keys, alarm codes, and/or access cards, where applicable.

  • Any time lost due to lack of access may be billed at the agreed hourly rate.

4. Pricing and Payment Terms

  • All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are exclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.

  • Invoices will be issued [weekly/fortnightly/monthly] and are payable within 14 days from the invoice date.

  • Late payments may incur a late fee of 2% per month on the outstanding balance.

  • The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate services for non-payment.

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • The Client must provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled service cost.

  • In the event of our team being unable to access the premises or complete the work due to circumstances under the Client’s control, full charges may apply.

6. Health and Safety

  • The Company complies with all applicable workplace health and safety laws.

  • The Client agrees to provide a safe working environment and notify us of any known hazards.

  • The Company reserves the right to refuse service if conditions are deemed unsafe for our staff.

7. Damage and Liability

  • All reasonable care is taken during service delivery. If damage occurs due to our negligence, we will repair or replace the item at our discretion.

  • The Company holds appropriate public liability insurance.

  • The Company is not liable for:

    • Pre-existing damage

    • Wear and tear

    • Damage caused by faulty fixtures or poor maintenance of the premises

8. Client Responsibilities

  • The Client must:

    • Secure valuables or confidential information

    • Notify the Company of any sensitive areas or items

    • Provide clear instructions for cleaning products or special surface care if required

9. Use of Subcontractors

  • Pleasant Cleaning Services may engage subcontractors to perform part or all of the services. Subcontractors are held to the same standards and requirements as our in-house staff.

11. Termination of Service

  • Either party may terminate the agreement with 14 days’ written notice.

  • The Company may terminate services immediately for:

    • Repeated non-payment

    • Abusive or unsafe conditions

    • Breach of these Terms and Conditions

12. Force Majeure

  • We are not liable for any failure or delay in service delivery due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or government restrictions.

13. Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales (or your relevant state), Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

14. Amendments

  • Pleasant Cleaning Services reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions with reasonable notice.

By engaging Pleasant Cleaning Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the above Terms and Conditions.
